Overview
Darwin's People, written by Brian Moon, explores human behavior, evolution, and naturalistic decision-making.
I developed the book's cover and supporting visual identity, drawing from evolutionary theory to translate complex scientific concepts into a thoughtful, modern, and approachable design.

Translating evolutionary theory into design
Inspired by symbiogenesis—the evolutionary theory that new forms of life can emerge through the integration of different organisms—I developed a visual concept centered on connection, integration, and evolution.
Intersecting green and blue forms reference a symbiogenesis diagram, while progressive human figures reinforce the book's exploration of human behavior and evolutionary development.

Extending the concept across the publication
The abstract forms continue across the front and back covers, creating a unified composition that connects the book's scientific inspiration to its visual identity.
Consistent typography, color, and graphic elements extend into supporting digital materials, creating a cohesive experience across print and online applications.
